At Da Vinci Paws, we know pet care is in the details.
Here’s everything pet parents usually ask before booking their first walk or visit.

Who will actually be walking my dog?

We use a team-based approach so that there is always someone available to walk your dog. Your dog will have a one-two primary walkers (and then we cross train other walkers to be backups. Your pup will have a team of new besties ready to hang with them.

How do you communicate during and after walks?

Every visit includes a real-time report card through our Time To Pet app. Each report is complete with notes, photos, and any specific details. You can message your walker or our office directly through the app anytime. Think of it as your own Paw journal, recording your pet’s daily adventures.

Are you insured and bonded?

Yes! Da Vinci Paws is fully insured and bonded through Business Insurers of the Carolinas. That means you, your home, and your pet are protected at every visit.

How long are the walks, and what’s included?

We offer 30-minute and 45-minute one-on-one walks.
Time includes walking, potty breaks, fresh water, towel-off if needed, and post-walk love. You’ll receive a full report with photos and a message from your walker through our client app - Time To Pet.

What are your rates and cancellation policies?

Cancellations made by 8 a.m. the day of service are fully refundable; after that, the visit is charged in full since your walker’s time is reserved just for you.

How do you access my home securely?

Most clients use a lockbox or coded entry system. Keys and client information are labeled anonymously and stored safely. Only your assigned walker and management have access to your information.

What areas do you serve?

Our paws roam the north side of Chicago, specifically Andersonville, Edgewater, and Uptown.
We focus on these neighborhoods so our walkers know every leafy street, hidden patch of grass, and pet-friendly corner café by heart.

Do you work with reactive, shy, or “spicy” dogs?

Absolutely! And proudly! We specialize in dogs who need extra patience, structure, or confidence-building. Our walkers are trained in gentle leash handling, positive reinforcement, and reading canine body language. Every dog deserves a white-glove level of care.

What happens in bad weather or if my dog refuses to walk?

Rain or shine, we show up! If conditions are dangerous (heat index, storms, sub freezing temps), we’ll adjust the walk for the safety of walkers & dogs. Which means we do a quick potty breaks, and then spend the remainder of the time doing indoor enrichment, snuggles and playtime. Your pet’s comfort always takes precedence.
